1. Acceptance
By downloading or using FishTank Diary, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Licence
You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the App Store Terms of Service. You may not reverse engineer, redistribute or resell the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. Purchases and refunds
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase of $3.99 that unlocks unlimited tanks, trend charts and CSV export. All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple through its “Report a Problem” process, and Apple’s decision is final. Restoring a purchase is free and available on any device signed in to the same Apple Account.
4. No veterinary advice
The app is a record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose disease, and it does not provide veterinary or medical advice. Warnings and out-of-range flags are informational and are based only on the ranges you configure. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for animal health problems.
5. Your data and your responsibility
The app stores your log locally on your device. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example by exporting to CSV periodically. We cannot recover data that is lost with a device.
6. Availability and changes
Features may be added, changed or removed in future versions. We aim to keep the app working on the operating systems Apple supports, but we do not guarantee compatibility with every future release.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
The app and this website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the app, including loss of livestock, equipment or data.
8. Content on this site
The guides and care sheets published here describe common practice in the aquarium hobby. They are general information, not a guarantee of outcome, and species requirements vary with source, season and stock.
